about

while planets are orbiting, the duration of one cycle creates a certain frequency. if this frequency is multiplied by 2 several times (octave transposed), you get a frequency in an audible range that can be used as a musical note.

the planets in our solar system create a very harmonic sound. simplified you can deal with just 5 root notes.

D (saturn, mars)
F# (jupiter)
A (venus)
C# (earth, mercury)
G# (uranus, neptune)

the combination of this notes could be interpreted as a Dmaj7#11 chord.

this piece, that lasts roughly one hour, is my interpretation of the „music of the spheres“.

there are 6 sections each utilising different combinations of some of these frequencies. in general there is a drone bass and 2 or 3 harmonic components.

the harmonic components make use of the harmonic series of the particular root note.

these are the root frequencies used (or some octave transposed variants):
earth: 136.1Hz
mars: 144.722Hz
jupiter: 183.664Hz
saturn: 148.032Hz

the planet frequencies mesh perfectly with 432Hz.

0:00 drone: earth, harmonic: earth-mars-jupiter
10:24 drone: jupiter, harmonic: earth-jupiter-432Hz
20:48 drone: 432Hz, harmonic: jupiter-saturn
31:12 drone: saturn, harmonic: 432Hz-earth-saturn
41:36 drone: mars, harmonic: earth-mars
52:00 drone: jupiter, harmonic: earth-jupiter
